Esses estudos contribuem para a prospec\u00e7\u00e3o de novos ativos com aplica\u00e7\u00e3o nas \u00e1reas terap\u00eautica, cosm\u00e9tica e biotecnol\u00f3gica. O laborat\u00f3rio tamb\u00e9m incorpora ferramentas de quimiometria, ampliando a interpreta\u00e7\u00e3o dos dados e permitindo uma vis\u00e3o mais integrada e preditiva dos sistemas naturais estudados. Localizado na Ilha do Maraj\u00f3, o polo tem como objetivo aproximar a ci\u00eancia dos territ\u00f3rios, fortalecendo a forma\u00e7\u00e3o acad\u00eamica de estudantes do interior e valorizando os saberes locais. A unidade atua como espa\u00e7o de inicia\u00e7\u00e3o cient\u00edfica, capacita\u00e7\u00e3o t\u00e9cnica e desenvolvimento de pesquisas aplicadas, com suporte direto da equipe de Bel\u00e9m.
